You don’t get to decide what is or is not about race.

We don’t just make this shit up because it’s fun.

We don’t sit around and high five each other every time a story of racial injustice makes it to the news. 

We’re not anxiously anticipating the next time we get to “pull the race card.” 

Believe it or not, black people have been black for our whole entire fucking lives. Odds are, we know what we’re talking about when it comes to racism, and we DON’T need you to validate it for us. We DON’T need your “OK” when it comes to being outraged at racial injustices toward our communities. We don’t need you telling us how YOU think we should fix our communities. What we need you to do IS SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Just shut up.
