Sixpence is a guilty pleasure of mine. Their melodies are some of the best I’ve ever heard, especially on this track. Leigh Nash does a great job of going up and down the register ever so slightly to produce an effect of happiness and sadness within a few words of each other. “I miss the warmth, and I miss the sun. I miss the ocean, I miss everyone…” If you can’t feel her during those couple of lines, you’re not living. I had the pleasure of meeting the whole band a few years back and they were some of the nicest people I have ever met. I hope you enjoy.
